How a Microsoft 365 migration works
Plan
We list every mailbox, shared folder and device, and pick a cut-over date that suits you, usually a Friday evening.
Prepare
Accounts, licenses and security are set up in advance. Nothing changes for staff yet.
Move
Email and files are copied in the background, then we switch your domain over the weekend
Monday morning
We’re on-site or on the phone as staff log in, setting up Outlook and phones and answering questions
Microsoft 365 questions
Doesn’t Microsoft already back up our data?
Microsoft keeps the service available, but deleted items are only kept for a limited time, and ransomware or a departing employee can remove data you can’t get back. Separate Microsoft 365 backup lets us restore any mailbox, file or site.
Can you move us from Google Workspace or GoDaddy email?
Yes. We migrate email, calendars, contacts and files, and switch your domain over with minimal downtime.
Do we still need a server in the office?
Usually not. SharePoint and OneDrive replace most file servers. If you run software that needs a local server, we’ll tell you during the assessment.
Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need?
Most small offices fit Business Standard or Business Premium. We recommend plans per user based on what each person actually does.
Can you take over a Microsoft 365 account someone else set up?
Yes. We review the existing setup, fix the security gaps and document it.
