Video conferencing for meeting roomsWhy Grey-Bruce businesses choose a local IT provide
- We can drive over. Remote support fixes most problems, but a failed switch or a new office fit-out needs someone on-site. We’re 25 minutes away from Owen Sound and 35 minutes from Kincardine, not a ticket queue in another province.
- One number for everything. Computers, network, phones, email and security sit with one team. No finger-pointing between vendors.
- Predictable costs. A flat monthly rate replaces surprise repair bills, and our quarterly reviews flag hardware replacements before they become emergencies.
- We know the area. We work with the same mix of businesses you do, from seasonal tourism operators on the Peninsula to professional offices in Owen Sound. Our team has worked IT inside a Bruce Power contractor, so we know what the energy sector expects from its suppliers.
Managed IT vs break-fix support
| Break-fix (pay per call) | Managed IT (flat monthly)Most popular | |
|---|---|---|
| When you pay | Each time something breaks | One predictable monthly fee |
| Monitoring | None; you find problems when they fail | 24/7, issues caught early |
| Security updates | When someone remembers | Applied and reported monthly |
| Response | When a technician is free | Priority response for plan clients |
| Budgeting | Unpredictable | Planned at quarterly reviews |
Is managed IT right for your business?
It’s usually a good fit if any of these sound familiar:
- Someone on staff is “the IT person” on top of their real job
- You’ve had a scare: a hacked mailbox, a ransomware warning, a fake invoice that almost got paid
- Your cyber insurance renewal asks about MFA, backups or training, and you’re not sure on the answers
- Your server, firewall or PCs are past their warranty
- You have 5-100 staff and no full-time IT employee

Outside Bruce and Grey, we also support clients in Wingham, Listowel, Atwood on-site, and businesses across Ontario, including the GTA and Golden Horseshoe, remotely.
What are managed IT services?
Managed IT means a provider looks after your technology for a flat monthly fee: monitoring, support, security and updates, rather than charging each time something breaks.
How much do managed IT services cost?
Pricing is per user per month and depends on how many people and devices you have and which services you need. We give you a fixed quote after a free assessment.
Do you offer on-site support?
Yes. Most issues are fixed remotely within minutes, and we come on-site anywhere in Bruce and Grey counties when hands-on work is needed.
Can you work alongside our in-house IT person?
Yes. We can take over the whole job or back up an internal IT person with monitoring, security and after-hours coverage.
How long does it take to switch to Advanced Technologies?
Most businesses are fully onboarded within 1 week. We handle the handover from your current provider so nothing drops in between.
Do you require a long term contract?
Agreements run 12 months, renewing annually after that.
